At St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School, our whole school community came together once again to support the Samaritans’ Shoebox Appeal, helping to spread joy and kindness to our global neighbours this Christmas.
Children filled shoeboxes with thoughtful treats and surprises, ensuring that each box would bring happiness to a child in need. Many of our parents also donated online – a huge thank you for your generosity and support!
Our pupils were excited to help pack the car and deliver the boxes to The Well in West Auckland, where volunteers were delighted by the incredible number of boxes we contributed. It was a wonderful reminder that, through small acts of kindness, we can make a big difference and share the true spirit of Christmas.
As Pope Francis reminds us: “Deep Faith, Lively Hope and Active Charity.” At St. Mary’s, we live out these values every day, bringing hope and joy to others near and far.
