Visit to J&B Recycling Plant Hartlepool
Abigail, Phoebe and Evie went along to the recycling plant in Hartlepool to learn more about the recycling process. It was amazing to see the size of the plant and the amount of litter! The girls are now preparing to deliver an assembly to the rest of the school to raise awareness of what happens once we bin our rubbish, and what we can be doing to improve recycling in our school, home and community. There is also a competition they would like you to take part in with J & B to design a mug. The winner has their design printed on the mugs at J&B and they receive vouchers for themselves and school. The link below gives further information and useful resources.

Climate Change Competitions
Abigail, one of our Climate Change Champions has been writing a letter to Bishop Stephen. Abigail is a very passionate Climate Change Champion- along with the rest of the team, and they are very keen to invite Bishop Stephen in to school so that he can see and hear all about their wonderful ideas and hard work. We are hoping to hear from Bishop Stephen soon, although we know he is an incredibly busy man!
Here is a copy of Abigail's lovely letter that she took the time to write at home last night. Thank you Abigail- your passion, commitment and enthusiasm is inspirational!

Big Lent Walk Litter Picking
Some of our Climate Champions gave up some of their own lunch time to contribute towards not only our Big Lent Walk, but also to carry out a local litter pick. They walked around our school grounds, St Mary's Church and local residential areas. These small acts make a big difference boys and girls- well done.
