Our Year 6 children thoroughly enjoyed the 'Big Breakfast' on Friday as as a special treat and end to their busy week of SATs.
Thank you Miss Bunford- looks delicious, and I know staff enjoyed having their breakfast with the children too. Much deserved!
Well done once again Year 6- you are all amazing!
In Larks class this week we have been busy developing our English skills through an exciting seaside theme. The children have been exploring how to write clear instructions by focusing on how to build a sandcastle. We began by practising giving and following instructions orally, with lots of hands on fun as the children worked together with sand to bring their ideas to life. The children learned how important it is to give clear instructions in the correct order so they make sense. We also introduced imperative, or “bossy” verbs to help tell the reader exactly what to do, such as dig, fill and pat. The children have shown great enthusiasm and creativity and it has been lovely to see them growing in confidence as they learn how to write their own sets of instructions.
Investigating the different melting rates of chocolates!
