Our Faith in Action leaders certainly put their faith into action this afternoon, serving local residents lunch at the Advent meals event held in the parish hall. It was gorgeous to see them interacting confidently with our neighbours and helping the parishioners to run this important event. Great job!
Another lovely visit to the library for our children in Robins. The children thoroughly enjoy their story session at the library, before browsing, choosing and of course stamping their own book to bring back to school. Children then vote each morning for the story they would like Miss Pryke to read that day. Some adorable pictures too of the Nativity story being rehearsed in classroom; retelling through role play and dress up. Just wonderful!
This week, Larks have been busy combining our learning in Art and Maths. Inspired by Paul Klees’s Castle and Sun, we explored mixing primary and secondary colours and investigated different shapes. The children used oil pastels to create stars and building patterns, added watercolour for depth, and outlined their design in pen. Together, we have created a beautiful Bethlehem scene for our class Nativity display.
