Larks class have worked hard this week in pairs during PE as part of their gymnastics lessons, developing jumping skills. Some fabulous action shots to share! Look at the concentration on their faces!
Harvest Festival
A huge thank you to everybody who contributed to our harvest offerings this week and who came along to join us for our special celebration. Staff said they have never seen the hall so full!
Thank you also to parents who have took the time to message me to congratulate the children for their performances- it is always lovely to hear your thoughts and feedback to us so that we can celebrate and also improve in any areas necessary too. Such positive feedback- thank you!
Some of the children helped me deliver the harvest parcels to our local neighbours today and also to our friends at The Manor Residential Care home. The cards were also beautiful from our Owls class- on behalf of everyone here at St Mary's. Thank you again everybody- we will be delivering the rest of the tinned items to the Food bank next week.
The Owls have been asked to design a pin badge for Barnard Castle by English Heritage! Using their knowledge of the castle, they created some wonderful badge designs and are now looking forward to finding out whose badges will be chosen to represent our castle and be sold in the gift shop- how exciting and what a wonderful local curriculum link to our community. Good Luck Owls!
Swifts class have been using their collaborative oracy skills to solve problems using a number line approach. Well done Swifts- what a community of learners!
