This week our Journey in Love (EYFS) was all about how we are a special part of our family. We discussed why we are special and then made photo frames using natural resources. Very special indeed!
Larks have been using their oracy skills to construct sentences about Sir Charlie Stinky Socks, our class text. They used the sentence starter 'I think… and could extend the sentence with 'because.' A great example was. 'I think Sir Charlie Stinky Socks is courageous because he likes adventures.' Well done Larks!
Owls class thoroughly enjoyed their residential retreat, spending quality time with teachers and friends, reflecting, participating in creative prayer and making sure they had some 'down time' together too. The children came back enthused, and full of stories about their time at the Youth Village. Treasured memories banked!
It has also been a pleasure listening to such positive comments from staff and parent helpers who said the children were all incredible, a pleasure to take and inspiring to others. Mrs T even treat them to a little treat to say thankyou! We are so lucky to share in your journey in faith as part of your primary years here at St Mary's.
