VE Day Celebrations around school and in our local area too. What a wonderful day we have had in school marking the 80th VE Day Anniversary. It was lovely to be able to share the special day within our school community as well as in our local area. We enjoyed our visit to The Manor, listening to stories from residents who remembered stories from when they were children growing during WW2. Their stories were fascinating!
It was also lovely to see some of our parents and grandparents join us for our Candle Time and also governors joining us in class to share stories and artefacts from their family members. Thankyou!
Swifts enjoyed a special afternoon tea and were very impressed I hear with the pink milk shake!
I hope the children can tell you all about their day and why it is so important to us all too.
Our Larks Science Walk
What common and wild flowers can we see in our local area? We completed observational sketches of the flowers we saw.
