Owls thoroughly enjoyed their Retreat at the Youth Village based on the theme 'Lost and Found.'

Mrs Porter, Mrs Norman and Abbie said the children were exceptionally well behaved and a pleasure to take on residential.

It looks, and sounds like you've all had an amazing time- fabulous!

More photographs from the Retreat can be found in the Our Faith Journey section of our website too.

What a busy week Robins and Wrens have had. This week has been all about getting outside. We have enjoyed investigating floating and sinking and also making a huge river with bridges and even a dam to stop the water.

This week the children have been developing their sports skills in field games by practicing throwing and catching in preperation for rounders and cricket this term! The children have already shared how eager they are to play a full game already and have certainly developed some creative techniques and team skills.

Our Sports Leaders paid The Little Wrens a visit and worked with them on their team work and balancing skills. The children were thrilled to be practising their leadership skills as well as well as The Little Wrens were to be working as part of a team, learning to take turns and to practise a new sports game! I can't believe how well they could move with the bean bags balancing on their heads. The Sports Leaders are already planning their next sports games to play with the children. Well done boys and girls!

What a wonderful first week back, children have really thrown themselves back into school routines and what amazing work they have produced. We have been learning about London and it's landmarks and this week we have been looking at the River Thames. They children produced the most beautiful river images and added the landmarks they know. They went on to build Tower bridge over the River Thames in our water tray. They used problem solving skills to plan how they will stop the bridge falling down. They then went into the construction area to build London bridge. We also opened a post office this week and the children have been very busy, writing, sorting and delivering post around school.
