Robins and Wrens are followers of God and have created beautiful fish footprint artwork after listening to the scripture “You will bring people not fish, come follow me.” Mark 1:16-24.
They have also become super scientists exploring materials and classifying whether objects were magnetic or non-magnetic.
In DT Larks have been looking at our capital city London and so this week we started investigating vehicles and how they move linked to the London buses. Did you know that our Chair of governors (Mrs Curran) is the voice you hear when you travel on the London bus routes or underground tube stations? 'Next stop Big Ben!!'
The children used their design skills to have a go at making wheels, axels and chassis.
The Swifts have had a super week learning about circuits and how we can conduct electricity to flow freely through a closed circuit using a conductor. It was wonderful to hear from Miss Herbert how the children applied their knowledge of flowing electrons to find out why a circuit may not work and how it could be adapted to allow the electrons to flow from the battery and light the bulb!
