We are family!
How wonderful to see some of our Robins planning their own Celebration of the Word with Miss Holywell.
They recognise that they are special, and the special things they do- along with their buddies that link to our school values and virtues.
How wonderful!
The Swifts have been learning all about mummification over the past 2 weeks in relation to Ancient Egyptian beliefs. We explored why mummification was a sacred part of death and learnt how to mummify like the Ancient Egyptians! We were shocked to learn they used natron, a special kind of salt during the process. We created instructions for how to mummify an Egyptian and even had a go mummifying each other! We realised mid way just how difficult this process was, but had so much fun becoming creative with our own mummies!
Larks have demonstrated wonderful resilience learning a new skill to sew fabric together to make their puppets for a Punch and Judy performance. We learnt how to safely use a needle and the running stitch. We will be adding details from our designs next week.
Good job Larks!
