'Springtime Art in EYFS'
'Every child an artist!' (Picasso)
Our Little Wrens made the most of the Spring weather this week and took their artistic talents outside. The explored using paint with different medias to create observational drawings of daffodils. They were curious to see what it was like to paint, both with their hands and with brushes on sheets and cling film as opposed to paper. What a creative experience for the children to enjoy!
' This is so much fun!' Max (Little Wren)
Developing writing through oracy
'Let's talk!'
Just look at the fantastic pieces of independent writing the children have produced this week in their literacy lessons. We believe oracy is an essential facet of an effective, empowering and broad curriculum. Through the teaching of high quality oracy, pupils learn how to talk and to talk... and just look at the fantastic independent writing outcomes as a result of that carefully planned sequence of talk, using each other as a resource in the classroom. Amazing writing Robins and Larks - the teachers were all so impressed with your retelling of Hall Hill Farm trip and your magazine articles after role play.
