The children in Robins and Wrens were shocked to find that Humpty Dumpty had been pushed off his wall and wanted to solve the mystery of who pushed him. Using their scientific skills the children were able to classify soft, fragile and strong materials and decided to design a jacket for Humpty Dumpty in case he was pushed again. Using a metre measuring tape, they dropped Humpty Dumpty wrapped in their chosen material and found that bubble wrap was the best material to keep Humpty Dumpty safe from cracking. The question still remained though? Which teacher pushed Humpty Dumpty off the wall? The Robins police have been outside daily with their police hats on and magnifying glasses to collect their daily clues and tally their votes for who pushed Humpty Dumpty. I wonder what the final clue will be? We will all find out on Friday.

The children also enjoyed expressing themselves with a Colour Monster party where they enjoyed face painting, wore their favourite colours and listened to songs which made them feel calm and happy! They created Colour Monster emotion themed biscuits and discussed how each colour made them feel. It was amazing to learn how many children associate blue with calm!

In our focus Art this week we linked our learning to RE creating charcoal drawings of our family talking about how we belong and how God loves each and everyone of us and our family. We are all very proud of our family display. In Literacy we continue to centre our learning around the text, Super Tato,  working together to write adjectives to describe each of the characters.
